Wireless Data Modem NL5000

For over two decades RF Neulink has been providing wireless data networking solutions with applications in SCADA, telemetry, telecommunications, and water management. Its versitile 15-pin I/O connector has control signals for all radio fucntions so external devices can control transmit, receive, channel, and many other parameters.

The NL5000 is available in two versions:

NL5000
Integrated data radio modem. Transparent
and direct asynchronous communication offers real-time
communication with Reed Solomon forward error correction.
NL5000-T
Analog input/output for perfect as a retrofit to RNet and JSLM installations. DC coupled FM transmit and receive paths have low distortion and low group delay via AUX-IN and AUX-OUT pins.

The NL5000 Transceiver Series is a price/performance leader in licensed conventional radios in both the VHF and UHF frequency range. They provide increased throughput, and longer range for multiple address systems. Transparent and direct asynchronous communication offers real-time communication. No extra software or programming is needed to implement communications using standard asynchronous protocols.

Channel selection is done using 3 digital input pins. A PTT request to send input pin changes the NL5000 between transmit and receive modes.

The NL5000 Transceiver Series is field configurable as a master station or remote radio. They can operate as a half-duplex or simplex radios. The simplex mode facilitates peer-to-peer radio communications while using a carrier sense (CSMA) channel collision avoidance technique.
