Each Transceiver Includes:
- A proprietary RF Module with a frequency
hopping transmitter and receiver
- A Digital Control Module for RF Module and
Application Interface management
- An Application Interface designed to
communicate with a serial (TTL, RS232,
RS485) and other standard on proprietary
interfaces
- A built-in connector to one of several
omni-directional or directional antenna
options
Zeus Transceivers operate in the
license-free portion of the FCC designated
industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) frequency
band at 2.4 GHz. They are ideal for transmissions
over long distances or in environments hostile to
wireless technologies.
Zeus Transceivers transmit and
receive data at 9.6Kbps:
- Up to 1.500 feet indoors
- Line of sight to the horizon outdoors
- On any of 417 independent, non-interfering
frequencies
Zeus Transceiver products operate
in Point to Point pairs and Multi-Point, Broadcast,
and Repeater Networks with up to 239 nodes. Zeus
products can be linked with existing computer,
telephone, and wireless networks --- including
Ethernet and the Internet --- to any device with an
IP address.
Features
Zeus Transceivers employ a
wireless interface designed to work live a virtual
wire replacement with distinct advantages over wire.
Zeus Transceivers:
- Enable mobility that may not have been
possible before. Zeus Transceivers connect
devices with RS232 or RS485 serial ports in
hard to reach locations.
- Compensate for baud rate differences between
devices, eliminating the need for converters
between older, slower devices and newer,
somewhat faster ones.
- Provide a GPIO (General Purpose
Input/Output) mode for communication of
status and can control information in
addition to data. GPIO ensures timely
notification of state changes, such as an
"out of paper" indication,
eliminating the need for time-consuming
manual checking for such conditions
- Offer both software and hardware flow
control to enable pacing of data
transmission between devices.
- Enable efficient timed or batched
transmission of data by specifying the
period of time to pass a number of bytes to
receive before transmitting.
- Provide asymmetrical data rates to
accommodate higher data transfers in one
direction.
- Provide the configurable support a
variety of network topologies.
